  • Rafael Rosell, the ex-chairman of the GECP and current Director of the Personalised Medicine and Cancer Biology Programme at the Instituto Catalán de Oncología Hospital GermansTrias i Pujol, in Badalona and member of the Foundation Council of the EuropeanThoracic Oncology Platform (ETOP).
  • Enriqueta Felip, Oncology Department Section Head of Hospital Vall d’Hebron. Felip is a member of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and an active member of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC).
  • Alberto Ruano, full accredited professor of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at the University of Santiago de Compostela. Focused on the epidemiology of cancer.
  • Florentino Hernando Trancho, head of the Thoracic Surgery Department at the Hospital Clínico San Carlos de Madrid. Hernando Trancho is also an Associate Professor of the Surgery Department at Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).
  • MThe final member of this committee is Miguel Angel Molina. Molina has a PhD in Biology and is the Technical Director of the Oncology, Laboratory of the Hospital Universitario Quirón Dexeus, and his work focuses on the development of new tools.
Support structures. GECP Headquarters

The headquarters of the Spanish Lung Cancer Group (GECP) provides a response to the research needs of the members of the Group, thanks to its more than 15 years’ experience. Its approach, know-how and a solid work and management team composed of professionals with extensive experience in the sector has led to its significant positioning among the scientific and medical community in the development and coordination of research on lung cancer.

Apart from national projects promoted by the GECP, the Headquarters also collaborates, manages and monitors research group international studies in Spain from different countries in which those sites belonging to the GECP actively participate.
