Thanks to their expertise in lung cancer, members of the Spanish Lung Cancer Group are focused on creating social awareness of this disease. Some of their lines of work include:
  • Publicly released annual reports on the situation of lung cancer in Spain
  • Detection and new alerts and new trends in relation to the disease
  • The organisation and dissemination of annual Congresses and Symposia about lung cancer, bringing together more than 300 national and international experts each year/li>
  • Launch of campaigns for the establishment of the most restrictive anti-smoking laws
  • Anti-smoking outreach and awareness campaigns for at-risk groups: adolescents and school-aged children
  • Support to Patients Associations
